The lives
of about 33 000 children and students
have been touched since we began in
1970. In those early years our numbers
were small but, since 1994 and the birth
of a new South Africa, applications
flood in by the thousands and the work
has grown. It is astounding that
children from such desperately poor
homes succeed in spite of the
difficulties which beset them.
